About Ovella Health
-
During your initial visit, you will have an hour-long, comprehensive appointment with Dr. Kelly or Dr. Kelsey, dedicated to listening to your experience and concerns. Together, we will create an individualized treatment plan specific to your health goals and history. Our goal is for you to leave the appointment feeling educated and empowered about your health.
For those interested in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) this will be discussed and offered during your very first visit (as long as there are no strong contraindications that need to be addressed first). We don’t believe in making you wait for care. We are here to support you feeling your best right away.
-
Telehealth means visits are conducted through a video platform — in the comfort of your home and on your schedule. This type of platform means no long waits, no commute, no time off work. Just care when and where you need it — as well as on-going support.
A telehealth platform supports Ovella Health’s mission to provide care to more women in more places, expanding access to expert menopause care to women who need it.

To prepare, we kindly ask that you complete your intake paperwork at least 24 hours prior to your visit.
Dr. Kelly and Dr. Kelsey personally read all this paperwork in depth prior to your appointment and want to be prepared for your visit. This way, we can focus your visit on what matters most — what you’re struggling with and how we can help you to feel your best.
-
For patients signed up for our membership, you can text your doctor directly and will receive same-day responses (M-F, 9-5 pm).
For patients who are doing pay-per-visit scheduling, we ask that you please schedule a follow up visit so we have a dedicated time to discuss your concerns. Non-urgent messages can be sent through our patient portal with responses within 72 hours.
For medical emergencies, please always call 911.

At Ovella Health, we work for you, not an insurance company. We are out of network with all insurance plans. We can create a superbill after each visit that we can give to you to submit for (potential) insurance reimbursement (Medicare rules).
We accept HSA and FSA.
By law, we are unable to accept patients with Medicaid. We are able to accept patients with Medicare, however you cannot submit to Medicare for reimbursement for our services.

Most prescriptions (ex: HRT/bioidentical hormones & and non-hormonal medications) for perimenopause & menopause are covered by your insurance. You can expect to pay your normal pharmacy co-pays.
For labs, frequent lab monitoring is typically not required. When we do order labs, these can typically be run through your normal insurance.
